Skipwave Sound is Brian Skipworth. Brian has been making and editing audio since childhood. It all began with playing music with his brothers and recording in his parents’ basement. Ever since Brian has continued to find new opportunities to use sound to entertain and communicate. Documenting current events for radio. Telling engrossing stories in narrative podcasts. Setting the tone for interviews and discussions on engrossing topics.
The first episode of the Rebel Girls podcast that Brian collaborated on won two Webby awards. That episode is a sweeping narrative that encapsulates the lifetime of Marjory Stoneman-Douglas. The challenge was connecting listeners to Marjory by recreating the wild environment she loved, transporting the listener into the dense aural environment of the Florida Everglades.
Brian has a degree in Audio Arts and Acoustics from Columbia College Chicago.
